Chunky Cozy Slippers Small

To begin making the slipper you will start at the toe section then end with the heel.

Round one we will start by making a magic circle by creating a slip knot leaving a 5-10 inch tail, then chain 2, looping the yarn tail into a circle then make 10 double crochet in the magic circle. Pull yarn tail tight to close the circle then slip stitch to the first double crochet made.

Round two, chain 2 then make 2 double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet.

Round three, chain 2 then make 2 double crochet in the first stitch, then 1 double crochet in the next 9 stitches, then 2 double crochet in the next stitch, then 1 double crochet in the next 9 stitches. Slip stitch to the first double crochet.

Round four to six, chain 2 then make 1 double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet.

Row one of the heel, chain 1 then single crochet in the next 16 stitches, turn your work.

Row 2 through 7, chain 1 and make single crochet in each 16 stitches, turn your work.

Completing the heel:

Fold ends together with the right sides touching each other then single crochet through both pieces to connect and create heel of the slipper. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Creating border around slipper opening:

Connect yarn with a slip stitch then chain 1 and single crochet around the opening of the slipper. Slip stitch to first single crochet then fasten off and weave in ends.
